James Burton Coffman (1905-2006) was an important Church of Christ preacher and a prolific religious writer. Besides of being recognized by his labor as a teacher and preacher (he baptized a total of 3,000 people in one session), perhaps he is most well-known due to his monumental work, a verse-by-verse commentary on the Protestant Bible. This work was published in 37 volumes and was finished by his author in 1992, when he was 87 years old. This BibleMax module contains Coffman's commentary on the New Testament (the Four Gospels, Acts of the Apostles, Epistles and Revelation). In this work, the author presents a highly detailed discussion of each verse, adding a vast amount of cross-references to the Bible itself and to other commentaries and books. These cross-references are presented in the form of hyperlinks, so if you want to read the full verse quote, you can simply place the cursor over the hyperlink, and a pop-up window showing the verse would appear. Also, if you want to read the verse in context, just click on the hyperlink and the corresponding text would appear at the Bible panel. The same thing occurs with some of the commentaries and books quoted; you only need to have them installed in your BibleMax core program for the hyperlinks to work. Remember to download and install BibleMax core software before running this or any other module.
